A return that has been 500 days in the making
Dejan Kulusevski is finally closing in on a return to action. Out with a right kneecap injury since May 2025, a problem first played down as a simple knock before it needed two operations, the Sweden attacking midfielder has been training normally for around a month now.
According to reports in The Sun, published on Thursday, Kulusevski could be named in the squad for the trip to Manchester United, set for 10 October after the international break.

Much-needed help for De Zerbi
The timing could hardly be worse for Tottenham. The Spurs sit bottom of the Premier League, winless after five games, despite more than 300 million euros being spent under Roberto De Zerbi. Kulusevski’s absence has hit their creativity hard, with Xavi Simons also out with a cruciate ligament injury and James Maddison still being eased back in.
Since arriving from Juventus in the summer of 2023, Kulusevski has posted 55 goals and assists in 146 appearances for the London club. No wonder Spurs are desperate to get him back on the pitch.
