Bayern’s message: this gets done soon
Harry Kane just became the fastest player in Bundesliga history to reach 100 league goals. Two goals in a 7-0 demolition of Union Berlin did it, and now Bayern Munich wants to make sure the number doesn’t stop climbing in red and white.
Kane is in the final twelve months of the four-year deal he signed after arriving from Tottenham in the summer of 2023. Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen says the club expects a resolution once the international break clears and Bundesliga action resumes on October 9. “We’re having productive discussions,” Dreesen said. “Things should start to wrap up.”

The numbers behind the urgency
Kane sits at 101 goals in 98 Bundesliga appearances, plus 53 more across 56 games in other competitions since joining. He topped the Bundesliga scoring charts in each of his first three seasons in Germany, something no other player has managed. Two Bundesliga titles, a DFB Cup and two Franz Beckenbauer Supercups sit on his Bayern resume, and he’s already being talked about as a 2026 Ballon d’Or contender.
Ownership weighs in too
Bayern president Herbert Hainer left little doubt about where the club stands. “We want to extend his contract further, and I also think that’s what will happen,” he said. Kane arrived in Munich with something to prove after years of near-misses at Tottenham. Two years on, the numbers make the case for him better than any statement could.
