NFL: Bowers Set to Return for Raiders Sunday

Bowers Nearing His Season Debut

Brock Bowers has not played in an NFL game since December 21, 2025. That is about to change. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported Tuesday night that the Raiders tight end is expected to return Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, closing out a recovery from a meniscus trim on his left knee earlier this month.

It is the same knee that sidelined him for five games last season because of a PCL sprain and bone bruise. Las Vegas has now managed two separate issues with Bowers’ left knee within roughly a year, and the team has been in no rush to accelerate his return.

Waiting Out a 2-0 Start

The Raiders have opened this season 2-0 without their top tight end, finding answers elsewhere while Bowers worked through his rehab. His last appearance in a Raiders win came on September 7, 2025, the opener of last season. Everything in between, the four-game absence in the middle of last season and the fresh knee procedure this summer, has kept him out of the lineup for the better part of a year.

What Sunday Decides

A clean outing against New Orleans would hand Las Vegas back its most complete offensive weapon at a moment when the rest of the league is starting to take a 2-0 start seriously. Anything less, and the Raiders will have to manage the same knee concern deeper into the season.
