Jaden Craig threw for 337 yards in Fort Worth overnight. Arkansas State gained 261 in total offence. TCU won 31-7.
Craig completed 21 of 29 attempts with three touchdowns and an interception. Ed Small caught seven of those passes for 164 yards and a score, including a 52-yard catch-and-run in the first half that set up a touchdown.
TCU move to 2-1 and close their nonconference schedule. They open Big 12 play next week at UCF. Arkansas State drop to 1-2 and stretch a losing run against Power 4 opposition to nine games, dating back to a win at Kansas State in 2020.

Payne sets the tone, the goal line settles it
Jeremy Payne opened the scoring with a 3-yard run at 8:36 of the first quarter and finished with 86 yards on 24 carries, 44 of them before the break. Craig found Small from 17 yards to make it 14-0 with 5:10 left in the half.
Arkansas State answered fast. Trey Owens hit Hunter Simmons for 31 yards and Jabari Bush for 46, and Ezell Jolly punched in a 1-yard score to cap a four-play, 84-yard drive that took 44 seconds. The Red Wolves went in at 14-7.
They opened the second half by driving to the TCU 1, helped by a 34-yard Owens scramble. On fourth-and-goal Owens threw incomplete in the end zone. TCU took over on downs and marched 99 yards on 14 plays, burning eight minutes off the clock.
Two more scores to finish it
Craig’s 9-yard throw to Ka’Morreun Pimpton in the end zone made it 21-7 with 17 seconds left in the third quarter. Nate McCashland added a 29-yard field goal in the fourth, then Craig hit Kari Ashley from 29 yards. Ashley finished with 87 yards on five receptions.
Owens ended 11 of 24 for 133 yards and added 31 rushing yards in the first half. Arkansas State reached the TCU 1 once and came away with nothing.
