Chambliss seals it with his legs
Ole Miss beat LSU 32-24 on Saturday in Oxford. The No. 8 team in the country knocked off No. 7 and, as a bonus, its former head coach. Lane Kiffin was back on the campus he once ran before heading to Louisiana.
Trinidad Chambliss delivered the run that put the Rebels in front for good in the fourth quarter. He had already thrown two touchdowns. His final line: 33 completions on 48 attempts for 363 yards, with one interception.
Traylor Ray caught seven passes for 115 yards and a score. He kept drives alive whenever the game started to tighten up.

A 17-point lead gone by the fourth
Ole Miss led by 17 at the break. LSU clawed all the way back. Sam Leavitt threw for 158 yards with one touchdown and one interception, and added a score on the ground. Dilin Jones carried 23 times for 106 yards and a touchdown.
The Tigers briefly had control. Then Chambliss answered. It came down to three possessions in the final quarter.
Ole Miss needed its defense to slam the door late. It did, at the worst possible time for LSU.
Fourth-and-goal from the 6, 58 seconds on the clock
LSU had a chance to tie it. The Tigers drove to the Ole Miss 6, faced fourth down and had 58 seconds left. Leavitt let it go. Jaylon Braxton picked it off.
Game over. Ole Miss moves to 3-0, including 1-0 in the SEC. LSU falls to 2-1, 0-1 in conference play, and takes its first loss of the season.
Kiffin leaves Mississippi without the result he came for. The SEC schedule will soon tell him whether this was a blip or a warning.
