Six from six, and a forward helped off
Melbourne are the only unbeaten side left in the AFLW. That was settled at Casey Fields today with a 34-point win over Carlton, 8.10 (58) to 3.6 (24), and it came at a cost. Georgia Gall limped off in the third quarter with an ankle problem.
The Blues held up for a half. Then Melbourne kicked four straight in the third term and the afternoon stopped being a contest. Olivia Purcell had 26 disposals and two of those goals. Tyla Hanks finished with 32 disposals and one. Jorja Livingstone kicked hers on debut in the last quarter.
Carlton drop to 4-2 with a second consecutive loss, which dents a top-four case that looked solid a fortnight ago. Claudia Whitfort still collected her 24 disposals.

Moloney from halfway, and Geelong make it five
Aishling Moloney booted the ball from the halfway line at Victoria Park, watched it take a lucky run of bounces, and watched it creep through. Geelong beat Collingwood 14.6 (90) to 7.7 (49).
The Magpies levelled the scores minutes after the main break. Then the Cats found six goals in the third quarter, led by 31 at the last change, and kept Collingwood scoreless from there. Nina Morrison had 30 disposals, Mikayla Bowen 29, Georgie Prespakis 12 clearances. Chloe Scheer kicked four, Moloney three.
Collingwood are 0-6. Their best moment belonged to Olivia Lewis, a late call-up on Saturday morning when Bri Davey fell ill, who kicked a goal on debut after leaving Super Netball’s Melbourne Mavericks for football.
Molloy keeps Sydney climbing, Bulldogs steal one in Perth
Chloe Molloy kicked three at Alberton Oval as Sydney beat Port Adelaide 5.11 (41) to 3.9 (27). The scores were locked at 16-16 at half-time before the Swans took hold of the third quarter, and they now sit 5-1, four points clear of Carlton. Abbey Dowrick gained 415 metres for the Power with a match-high 27 disposals.
In Perth, the Western Bulldogs were kept scoreless in the opening term and won anyway, 6.4 (40) to 4.6 (30). Four unanswered goals in the second quarter put them 11 ahead. Fremantle dragged it back through Hayley Miller and Kiara Bowers. Then Heidi Woodley finished a series of handballs 17 seconds into the final quarter and Sarah Hartwig added another. The Dogs go seventh on 4-2, the Dockers stay 3-3.
