Two goals in thirteen minutes, and a season restarted
Sixty-five minutes of nothing. Then Oscar Estupinan took the ball, put it on the spot, and Juarez’s night changed shape. The striker scored twice on Tuesday as the hosts beat Tigres 2-0 in Liga MX.
The first half gave nobody anything. Goalless at the break, few chances either way. Estupinan converted his penalty in the 66th minute. Thirteen minutes after that, Jose Luis Rodriguez found him again and he doubled the lead.
Two of his four attempts hit the target. He walked off in the 89th, Madson replacing him with the result long since settled.

Vucetich picked a 4-2-3-1 and his players kept possession for most of the evening. Fifty-seven percent. It bought them nothing.
Lema answered with five at the back. The 5-3-2 held until the hour, then Juarez hit twice inside a quarter of an hour and the shape had done its job.
Monchu was the most accurate man on the pitch, 37 passes completed from 39, a 95% rate. Juan Brunetta got two of his three shots on target for Tigres and still could not beat the goalkeeper. Rodrigo Aguirre tried three times and missed with all three.
Three points that reorder the bottom half
Juarez went into the round 18th with three points. Tigres were 15th on seven. Both sides were struggling. Only one of them leaves with anything.
History had suggested otherwise. In the previous 16 meetings, Tigres had won nine, Juarez three, four had finished level.
Ninety minutes undid a fair chunk of that. Juarez have life again at the Estadio Olimpico Benito Juarez. Tigres go home with nothing.
