Minnesota scores the final 29 points
Twelve points down with a quarter left, on opening night, against Green Bay. That was the hole Minnesota dug for itself. The Vikings climbed out of it and then some, rallying past the Packers 39-22 in Minneapolis. The last 29 points of the night all belonged to them.
Carson Wentz changed the game after coming off the bench. He replaced Kyler Murray and finished 12 of 19 for 133 yards and three touchdowns. Justin Jefferson hauled in eight catches for 92 yards and two scores. T.J. Hockenson started the comeback with a 16-yard grab with 2:08 left in the third quarter.
Aaron Jones Sr. then put his side in front with a 3-yard run. Jefferson added the two-point conversion. 25-22 Minnesota, 6:37 to play.

Jordan Love had 387 yards and nothing to show for them
The Packers quarterback still put up big numbers: 21 completions on 42 attempts, 387 yards, two touchdowns. Christian Watson caught six passes for 147 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown grab that got Green Bay rolling.
Then it all fell apart. Andrew Van Ginkel ripped the ball from Love on a strip-sack shared with Blake Cashman, then recovered it himself. Jordan Mason finished the job from a yard out. 32-22.
On the next possession, Love handed James Pierre an interception. Wentz punished them immediately, finding Jefferson, who dived to get the ball down against the right goalpost. Nine yards, and that was that.
The Kyler Murray problem nobody wanted on night one
Murray was making his first appearance in a Vikings shirt. He left in the middle of the first quarter after taking a head hit on a run. He stayed down for several minutes before walking off under his own steam. Concussion.
So Minnesota opens with a statement win over a division rival. It also opens with a concussion protocol to navigate and a quarterback pecking order that shifted in the space of one drive.
