Khvicha Kvaratskhelia arrived in Paris in January 2025. A year and a half later, he had won everything with the capital club. Last season was his best yet: another Champions League title, and, more importantly, the Player of the Tournament award, sealed with 10 goals and 6 assists.

What he owes his coach
Speaking to France Football, the Georgia international made clear how much of that rise he credits to Luis Enrique.
“We have a very good relationship and we respect each other. He always pushes me to go further and gives me advice to improve. I can talk to him easily. It is very easy to play for him. I am very proud of him. I like the way he works. And all his staff are brilliant. You just have to listen to them and do things properly”, said the man everyone calls Kvara.
A message that stands out
It is a notable line. Luis Enrique has built a reputation as a demanding coach, sometimes brutally so, and he has never been shy about moving on players who do not fit his plan. PSG have had more than a few examples of that since he took over.
To hear one of his key attacking players talk about open access and mutual respect tells a different story. And Kvara’s Paris run was never an individual fluke. He got a defined role, plus the licence to gamble inside it.
At 25, the Georgian heads into the next chapter with a settled status and a coach who suits him. More often than not, that counts for more than a transfer fee.
