The French women are back on the Berlin floor at 2:30pm
France’s women’s team are out again in Group B, taking on Nigeria this Monday, 7 September at 2:30pm. The World Cup runs in Berlin until 13 September, and this group also includes Hungary and South Korea. Final standings decide the quarter-final draw, so every game carries real weight. A win would leave France in control of the closing stretch rather than chasing it.
This is no soft touch. Nigeria reached the quarter-finals at the Paris Games in 2024, a first for an African side in an Olympic basketball tournament. France vs Nigeria shapes up as the toughest physical test in the group for the French, against a side made up largely of players developed in American and European leagues.
