Inter Milan confirmed on Sunday that Francesco Pio Esposito has put pen to paper on a new contract. The fresh deal runs until June 30, 2032. Six full seasons. For a striker born in 2005, that tells you everything about how highly the club rates him.
The Nerazzurri statement was short and to the point. “FC Internazionale Milano announce that an agreement has been reached for the extension of Francesco Pio Esposito’s contract: the striker born in 2005 will remain with the Nerazzurri until June 30, 2032.”

Esposito came through the academy. He wasn’t signed, he was raised. Standing 1.91m, he gives Inter a proper target-man presence, the kind of forward who can unsettle a centre-half over ninety minutes, and he is already delivering at an age when plenty of his peers are still grinding away in Primavera football.
Cristian Chivu has folded him into the first-team attacking rotation. This is not a prospect who turns up now and then for a cameo. He is in the squad, getting real minutes, climbing the pecking order.
A door quietly closed
Locking up a young striker for six years is also a way of shutting other clubs out. Anyone who was tracking him knows where they stand now. Inter will not sell unless somebody arrives with serious money. The next move belongs to Esposito: turn that faith into goals.
