A knock, and a lighter workload
“He took a knock and it was better for him to train at a lighter pace, but he is in perfect shape for tomorrow,” the German said.
Yamal did train. Alone, later in the day. “He went to train later. He will be fit for tomorrow,” Flick repeated.
Load management, then, rather than an injury. The staff eased off rather than gamble on a 19-year-old winger who has started week after week for two straight seasons.

Barca travel unless something changes overnight, and Yamal goes with them.
He arrives in form. Against Rayo Vallecano he ran the game alongside Raphinha, and Valencia have seen the tape.
The reaction says plenty on its own. Any hint that the kid might sit out and the whole city holds its breath. That is what he is worth to them now.
