A debut brace, and it counted for one point
Dejan Joveljic scored twice in his first game for Seattle. The Sounders still walked off without a win.

Seven wins in eleven, then the squad fell apart
Seattle opened the season 7-1-3. Then the injuries arrived, one after another, and the run has not stopped since.
The list is finally shrinking. Jordan Morris, Cristian Roldan and Hassani Dotson all came off the bench last weekend after long spells out. Paul Arriola, sidelined since August 1 with a calf issue, should be fit for Saturday. Jesus Ferreira is still out with a hamstring problem.
The Sounders (7-9-5, 26 points) host the New York Red Bulls (7-10-5, 26 points). Identical points, identical problem, both drifting away from the playoff line.
Bradley refuses to promise anything
New York have not won in four (0-3-1) and lost 3-1 at home to Philadelphia last weekend.
Michael Bradley did not offer the usual reassurance. The Red Bulls coach said his squad is being brutally honest with itself every day and understands what has to change, then added that calling something unacceptable is no guarantee it will not happen again next week.
One teenager is keeping the season alive. Julian Hall, 18 and an All-Star, has nine goals and five assists in 22 league games, and the club extended him for four more years last week. He now starts a four-game road trip in Seattle.
