Six RBIs, three swings, one night he had never had before
Pete Crow-Armstrong had never left the yard three times in a big-league game. He did it Saturday night. The Chicago Cubs outfielder drove in six runs in a 17-5 home win over the Cincinnati Reds.
Solo shot in the first. Two-run blast in the second. Three-run drive in the seventh. His season total climbs to 36, the best mark on the roster.
The Cubs had dropped three straight before this. That skid is over, and Chicago piled up 19 hits doing it.

Nineteen hits, and almost everyone had one
Carson Kelly added a three-run homer and an RBI double. Seiya Suzuki went deep for a two-run shot. Alex Bregman also cleared the fence and chipped in with an RBI single, finishing with three hits.
Tyrone Taylor matched Crow-Armstrong with four hits. Nico Hoerner drove in a run with a single. Kevin Gausman allowed five runs on six hits across five innings, and still walked off with his eighth win of the season against 11 losses.
Cincinnati has lost 10 of 15, and it shows
Rookie Sal Stewart hit a two-run homer, his 30th of the season and a club best. Eugenio Suarez also went deep for a two-run shot, while JJ Bleday brought in a run with a sacrifice fly.
It wasn’t close to enough. The Reds have dropped 10 of their last 15 games. That is ugly form with barely a month left in the regular season.
Chicago hosts Cincinnati again on Sunday to close out the series.
