Salary cap: Stade Toulousain fine cut to 2.7m on appeal

Stade Toulousain hit with reduced sanction on appeal

A small financial break for Stade Toulousain, but the bill is still a nasty one. Found guilty of salary cap breaches across two separate cases, the four-time defending French champions still face a record fine. The governing bodies did, however, confirm that there would be no points deduction or on-field disciplinary sanction to affect the Red and Blacks’ season.
