It happened overnight in MLS, during San Jose – Minnesota United. The match was nearing full time when the referee had to halt play. A steward stepped in, picked up the child, all smiles, before handing him back to his family.
How did he get there? No one really knows. The details of the intrusion are still unclear.

A match that had been done for ages
In football terms, there was nothing left to salvage. Minnesota United won 5-1 at San Jose. A dead end to the game, turned into a viral clip.
The Minnesota club even shared the footage on its own social channels, with a blunt caption: « baby > raccoon ». A nod to another unexpected visitor already spotted on a pitch. The commentators had a bit of fun with it live. The clips rolled all night.
