Rennes held on for an hour
Roazhon Park believed. Sebastien Szymanski struck in the 9th minute, Esteban Lepaul made it 2-0 in the 38th, and the French champions went in at the break two goals down on the opening day of Ligue 1.
Luis Enrique did not wait. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele were both pulled at half-time, replaced by two summer signings, Mika Godts and Ferran Torres.
It worked. Torres cut the gap in the 71st minute. He levelled in the 82nd. Paris come back from Brittany with a point out of a 2-2 draw.

Twenty minutes, two goals, one answer
Torres arrived in Paris with a reputation in need of repair. Valencia, then Manchester City, then Barcelona, and a slow slide out of the starting eleven along the way. His first competitive appearance in Paris colours produced a brace that saved the night.
Luis Enrique knows exactly what he bought. He picked Torres for Spain when he ran the national team. PSG wanted somebody who could change a game from the bench, and they got the answer on day one.
Paris travelled thin, too. Lucas Chevalier was out with a knee problem, Nuno Mendes suspended after his red card. Bastien Dechepy refereed.
Two points dropped, depending who you ask
The table records a draw for both. Rennes were two up at home against the champions and finished with a single point. PSG open their season without a win and avoid a defeat, which is not the same thing as a good night.
For more than 70 minutes the Bretons had Paris pinned. That is the part Luis Enrique will be looking at again on Monday.
