A year ago nobody in Marseille would have wagered a euro on this.

The output is what shifted. Eight goals and four assists in 43 appearances across his first season in Italy. The 23-year-old left winger did not tear the league apart. He turned up every week for a side playing European football, which counts for plenty in Serie A.
That was enough for Atalanta to move. It has been enough for other clubs to start circling with the window nearly shut.

Their position has less to do with Rowe than with everything around him. Thijs Dallinga has gone to Cologne. Defender Jhon Lucumi was allowed to leave for Juventus.
Two starters out. Selling a third attacking piece with days left on the market, and no realistic window to replace him, would hollow out the squad for an entire season.
So the answer is no. For now.
Thirty million is an opening bid, not a ceiling. The closing hours of a window have a habit of moving ground that looked solid a week earlier. Atalanta can go again. Bologna can refuse again.
Rowe is watching from a distance. Or perhaps not.
