Eight million euros, plus two more if things go well. That is the price Juventus have put on a goalkeeper they were not chasing back in June.
Guglielmo Vicario signed on Tuesday afternoon. The Italian leaves Tottenham after three seasons in London, and the Turin club spelled out the terms in a short statement: a loan with no fee until 30 June 2027, then an option to buy set at 8 million euros, rising by another 2 million if certain targets are met.
He is 29. Five caps for Italy.

Martinez, Suzuki, then the compromise
Juventus went after Emiliano Martinez first. That collapsed. Zion Suzuki came next, and that one fell apart too. Vicario is the third name on a list that kept getting shorter as the summer wore on, though the structure of the deal means the Old Lady barely feels it on the books this season.
