Indianapolis had been waiting for this one, and Caitlin Clark made it worth the wait. The Indiana Fever rolled past the New York Liberty 106-92 on their home floor. That 106-point total tells you everything about the pace Indiana set.
Clark posted a double-double, 22 points and 10 assists. She ran the show, picked apart the defense and kept the tempo screaming. Kelsey Mitchell handled the rest with 28 points, 20 of them before halftime. New York never found an answer.

For Clark, a line like this is starting to look ordinary. Score, create, repeat. She is the engine of a team aiming at something far bigger than a single August night.

Beating the champions at home, and doing it this comfortably, puts the Fever squarely back in the conversation. Whether New York shrugs it off or lets it linger is the question worth watching when the two sides cross paths again.
