A penalty, and silence at Ibrox
Ibrox was expecting a party. It got a body blow instead. Josh Campbell stepped up, placed the ball, and waited. Penalty. The Hibernian midfielder kept his nerve and put the visitors ahead in the first half. 0-1. The noise drained out of the stands.
Rangers pressed after that. They also kept running into a wall. Hibernian’s back line stayed compact and patient, and the Gers hunted for a way through right up to the whistle. It never came.
