McGregor has not had his last say
A mangled knee. A brutal loss. And already, a plan.
On Instagram on Monday, Conor McGregor floated the idea of a third fight with Max Holloway. He wants it at International Fight Week in July 2027, and he has already given it a name: “The Last Dance”.

Why a trilogy actually makes sense
Back up a couple of weeks. On July 11 in Las Vegas, Holloway wrapped things up in 69 seconds. McGregor blew out his right knee on a kick. The fight was over, the ACL was gone.
The two had met once before, way back in 2013, when McGregor took the decision. An old score, dragged back into the light by one ugly night in Vegas.
A year, at least
Dana White said on Sunday that McGregor is looking at a year on the shelf. Surgery comes first. So the “Last Dance” will have to sit and wait. It is already typed out on a phone screen somewhere, though, and that is usually how these things start with him.
