The Cleveland Cavaliers are an NBA franchise based in Cleveland, founded in 1970. The Cavaliers have gone through several cycles, alternating between rebuilding phases and periods of elite performance, notably driven by the impact of their superstars.

The history of the Cavaliers is primarily defined by LeBron James. Arriving in 2003, he led Cleveland to the NBA Finals in 2007, before making a historic return in 2014. In 2016, he delivered the city its first NBA title by overcoming a 3-1 deficit against the Golden State Warriors.

Alongside LeBron, players like Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love played a key role in this historic championship, considered one of the greatest achievements in modern NBA history.
