NBA: Luka Dončić Stuns Denver with Overtime Buzzer-Beater, Sends Lakers to Victory

There was half a second left. Just enough time for something insane. In a raucous Crypto.com Arena, Luka Dončić buried the overtime winner to hand the Los Angeles Lakers a wild 127-125 win over the Denver Nuggets.

A game that rattled until the last possession, capped by an utterly unreal finish.

Dončić’s Killer Blow

In overtime the teams traded punches. Then the Lakers put the ball in their superstar’s hands.

Dončić created space on Spencer Jones, rose for a mid-range jumper… and drained it with 0.5 seconds left. That’s that.

The Slovenian finished with a monstrous triple-double — 30 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds. He controlled the game from start to finish.

And to seal it, he swatted away Tim Hardaway Jr.’s desperate heave on the final possession.

Austin Reaves Forces OT in a Crazy Finish

But before Dončić’s heroics, the Lakers were staring at disaster.

Down 118-115 with five seconds left, Austin Reaves went to the line. He made the first free throw, then intentionally missed the second.

The ball rebounded to him. He rose up with a quick floater. Bucket.

With 1.9 seconds left, the game was tied and Crypto.com Arena exploded.

Reaves finished with 32 points — one of his biggest nights of the season.

Jokić with Another Triple-Double

For Denver, Nikola Jokić once again stuffed the stat sheet.

The Serbian big recorded his 27th triple-double of the season — 24 points, 16 rebounds and 14 assists. Aaron Gordon added 27 points, while Tim Hardaway Jr. finished with 20.

Jamal Murray, meanwhile, had a brutal night — 1-for-14 from the floor.

Even a Jokić layup with 15 seconds left in OT to tie it couldn’t stop Dončić’s final shot.

The West Race Just Got Nuttier

This win landed in a Western Conference that’s tighter than a drum. Before tip-off Houston, the Lakers, Denver and Minnesota all sat on 41 wins.

Every game matters that much more.

The Lakers pushed their streak to five straight wins and nudged themselves deeper into the fight for the top spots.

Next up for Los Angeles: a trip to Houston.

But for one night, the spotlight belonged to Luka Dončić.

And to his buzzer-beating shot.
