Some nights the crowd starts chanting before the final buzzer. In Minneapolis, the Target Center was yelling “MVP” with a minute to go.
Because Anthony Edwards had just made another statement.
The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Memphis Grizzlies 117-110, their fourth straight win. Edwards poured in 41. Again.

Brutal wake-up after a flat first half
Minnesota started terribly. Down 11 in the first half. 3-of-16 from deep before the break. Edwards had hit… the Wolves’ only threes.
Memphis led 62-57 at the interval, carried by Jaylen Wells (15 already).
Then it flipped.
Defense woke up. They cranked up the pace. Julius Randle imposed himself inside. It was 72-72 in the third. Edwards finished a lay-up to put them 74-72 up. Minnesota never trailed again.
Edwards shuts the door
In the fourth, Edwards took full control. Thirteen points in the final 12 minutes. Three triples. Every Memphis push met an answer.
That’s his ninth 40-point game this season.
Beside him, Julius Randle posted 23 and 11. Ayo Dosunmu gave a valuable 14 off the bench.

The Wolves also bullied Memphis on the boards: 51-33 against a smaller front.

Memphis fights back, but it’s too late
Jaylen Wells finished with 19. Cedric Coward added 15. Memphis ripped off a 12-2 run in the final minute to get within four. Too little, too late.

Worth noting: Kyle Anderson returned to Minnesota a day after being picked up following his release from Memphis. 13 minutes, 2 points — more a symbolic boost to the rotation than a stat line.
Minnesota building momentum
Fourth straight win. Seven of eight. Fourth in the West.
Minnesota look to be hitting form at the right time. And when Anthony Edwards is this good, this team’s ceiling shoots up.
Next up: the Wolves head to Toronto. Memphis heads to Portland.
One thing’s for sure: in Minnesota, the “MVP” chant isn’t just a fan cry anymore. It’s become routine.
