No MVP? No problem. The Thunder keep rolling.
In Toronto, Oklahoma City notched their fifth win in six, beating the Raptors 116-107 — and they did it without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who sat out the trip to Canada with an injury.
And in the void left by their star, Cason Wallace stole the show.
Wallace steps up
Cason Wallace matched his career high with 27 points. Second straight 20-point game, six assists, eight rebounds, and most crucially he owned the finish.

The Thunder still watched their lead shrink. Up 96-71 after three, OKC went cold. They missed 14 of their first 15 shots in the fourth. Toronto clawed back. Jamal Shead hit a three to tie it 101-101 with 4:06 left.
That’s when Wallace answered. Two quick buckets. A steal. A feed to Isaiah Joe from deep. The run ended there.
Team effort holds up despite absences
Isaiah Joe added 22 points, Alex Caruso scored 16 in his return from an ankle sprain, Luguentz Dort had 15, Isaiah Hartenstein 11.
Still missing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Ajay Mitchell and Jalen Williams, the league leaders keep finding ways to win. Their road record rises to 21-7 — best in the league.
This Thunder aren’t a one-man team.

Raptors’ rally came too late
RJ Barrett finished with 21 points. Emmanuel Quickley and Ja’Kobe Walter scored 17 each. Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram added 15 apiece.
The Raptors showed fight to erase a 25-point deficit. But the energy spent getting back left them hollow. Against a disciplined team like OKC, every mistake gets punished.
Toronto lost for the first time in three and have to bounce back quickly — they face San Antonio on Wednesday.
Thunder keep setting the pace
Third straight win in Toronto for Oklahoma City. Consistency on display. They absorb absences and keep functioning as a unit. That’s not common.
Next up: Detroit.
But Tuesday night the message was loud. Even without their reigning MVP, the Thunder still look like the best team in the NBA.
And Cason Wallace may have just announced he’s ready to carry more of the load.
