A rib injury in training
France have lost another player ahead of Saturday’s Nations Championship match against Fiji. Back-rower Oscar Jegou hurt his ribs in Wednesday’s training session at Marcoussis and will miss the game in Lyon, which kicks off at 9:10pm local time. Rugbyrama reported it first and RMC Sport confirmed.
The La Rochelle forward was due to start on the bench. How long he will be out is not yet known. He left camp this evening with 14 other players released at the end of the day.

Capilla set for a first cap
Esteban Capilla of Bayonne is expected to take Jegou’s place among the replacements, which would give him his first international cap. Head coach Fabien Galthié is due to confirm the matchday squad on Thursday at 10am.
The absence list keeps growing. Julien Marchand, Demba Bamba, Thibaud Flament, Emmanuel Meafou, Joshua Brennan, Marko Gazzotti, Anthony Jelonch, Lenni Nouchi, Nolann Le Garrec, Matthieu Jalibert, Fabien Brau-Boirie, Pierre-Louis Barassi and Thomas Ramos are all unavailable this autumn.
Fiji is the first of four straight weekends for the French. South Africa follow on November 13 and Argentina on November 21, and France are on course for the final against the top southern hemisphere side on November 29.
