Golden State claws back from 17 down
Phoenix looked in control for most of the night in San Francisco. The Suns went on a 16-4 run early, led 34-19, and did not trail until Charles Bassey put the Warriors up 95-93 with a layup on their first possession of the fourth quarter. Golden State had to dig out of a 17-point hole to get there, and it did so after Draymond Green was ejected in the third.
Bassey tied it at 106 from the line with 4:39 left, then Georges Niang hit a 24-foot shot off a kick-out from De’Anthony Melton to make it 109-106. The Warriors never gave the lead back. Stephen Curry made two free throws at 2:06, stripped Devin Booker for a turnover on the next trip, and Brandin Podziemski stretched the margin to 113-108.

Curry closes it at the line
Jalen Green dunked with 14.2 seconds left to make it 113-112, and Curry finished the job with three free throws in the last 7.4 seconds. He ended with 34 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds, going 11 of 12 at the stripe for his first missed free throw of the season. It was his third 30-point game of the year.
Podziemski added 20, Yaxel Lendeborg had 16 and Niang 13. Bassey set a career high with 19 points and led the team with 8 rebounds. Golden State rested Al Horford, Brandon Williams and Gui Santos and still won its fifth straight.
Booker scored 26 for Phoenix, Miles Bridges 21 and Dillon Brooks 18 with 8 rebounds. Green filled the box score with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. The Suns’ lone win this season came against these same Warriors, 131-122 in Phoenix on October 24, which remains Golden State’s most recent loss.
