Collier heads for the open market
The Utah Jazz will decline their $4.99 million team option on guard Isaiah Collier for the 2027-28 season, Michael Scotto reported for HoopsHype, citing sources. Collier will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
He has averaged 9.9 points, 6.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals over three seasons. Scotto expects him to be a coveted name once the market opens. Declining the option does not stop Utah from bringing him back, but it would have to win him over like everyone else.

Bailey’s option goes the other way
The same reporting says the Jazz have exercised the rookie scale option on Ace Bailey for 2027-28, worth $9.98 million, according to league sources. The two decisions surfaced within minutes of each other on Monday.
Bailey’s figure is exactly double the amount Utah declined to pay Collier. One player stays on the books through 2027-28. The other gets to hear offers from all 30 teams.
