Minnesota waits until the fourth quarter to lead
The Vikings did not lead until the fourth quarter and did not need to. They beat the Indianapolis Colts 16-10 in Minneapolis on Sunday to move to 6-0, winning their first game after the bye.
Indianapolis struck first. Jonathan Taylor took a pitch 38 yards for a touchdown with 9:13 left in the opening quarter, and a Spencer Shrader 43-yard field goal as the half expired put the Colts up 10-6. The Vikings’ points before the break came entirely from Will Reichard, who kicked from 28 and 47 yards.
Kyler Murray finally flipped the scoreboard early in the fourth, hitting T.J. Hockenson with a 5-yard touchdown pass at the 14:36 mark for a 13-10 lead. Murray finished with just 150 passing yards and the one score. Justin Jefferson caught four passes for 44 yards on seven targets, and Jordan Mason led the ground game with 68 yards.

Reichard rewrites the record book, Smith ends it
Reichard made it 16-10 with a 52-yard field goal with 1:39 to play. That kick was his 36th in a row without a miss, which passed Gary Anderson’s franchise streak of 35 set in 1998.
The Colts still had a chance. With 1:08 left, safety Harrison Smith intercepted Daniel Jones to close it out. Jones threw for 108 yards with that one interception.
Taylor was the bright spot for Indianapolis. He ran for 95 yards and scored for the eighth time in seven games this season, but the Colts could not find another touchdown.
