Wilson and Lambert get the call
Les Kiss has named a 33-man Wallabies squad for the November Nations Championship, and two uncapped players are in it. Teddy Wilson, the Waratahs scrum-half and a former Australia Under-20s captain, is the son of David Wilson, who played 79 Tests and won the 1999 World Cup. Tom Lambert, a NSW loosehead prop, is rewarded for his Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby AUS form.
The group is made up of 19 forwards and 14 backs. It assembles in Sydney on Wednesday, and Rugby Australia says more players could be added after Australia A face the USA this weekend.

Recalls and returns
Taniela Tupou and Tom Hooper are recalled, as the tour falls within World Rugby’s Regulation Nine window. Hunter Paisami is back after serving a suspension for a high tackle in the win over South Africa in Perth. Fly-half Carter Gordon is included while recovering from a fractured fibula suffered in Argentina, and lock Miles Amatosero returns from injury and plays for Australia A this weekend.
Several names are missing: Charlie Cale, Josh Flook, Langi Gleeson, Jake Gordon, Matt Philip, Pete Samu and Will Skelton are all unavailable.
The northern tour
Australia open against England on Sunday 8 November at Allianz Stadium in London, then play Scotland at Murrayfield on 15 November and Wales in Cardiff on Saturday 21 November.
Kiss spoke of a “real buzz” in the group and said the coaches made “tough selection calls” to build depth. The tour, he added, will test “new combinations” and push the team’s game forward.
