Utah Jazz – San Antonio Spurs: last meeting of the season
Third and final meeting of the season between the Jazz and Spurs. The West’s odd couple meet to settle the season series after splitting the first two. Their aims couldn’t be more different, but that doesn’t make this any less intriguing.
Utah Jazz: another big scalp to chase?
The Jazz have shown once again they’re dangerous when the shots fall. Against the Wolves and Anthony Edwards, Keyonte George lit it up (43 points — a career high) to grab a headline win over one of the West’s best (127-122). The Spurs should be wary: Utah have picked up 10 of their 15 wins this season at the Delta Center. With the crowd behind them, Will Hardy’s team can beat anyone.
Their offense operates at a different level — 119.3 points per game, fifth-best in the league. But let’s be blunt: missing Lauri Markkanen and a leaky defense are major flaws. Utah gives up nearly 130 points a night — 127.4 to be exact — the worst defence in the NBA this season. No hot shooting? Then their chances are almost zero.

San Antonio Spurs: time to act like favorites
The Spurs have a nasty habit of letting games slip away, like against the Rockets (106-111) where they blew a 16-point lead. This won’t be a walk in the park — Salt Lake City has surprised big teams this year. San Antonio can point to their recent 123-110 win over Utah, but this time they’ve got to do it on the road.
They’re the 9th-ranked offense (117.7) and the 7th-ranked defense (112.6). That balance keeps them in games even if Utah gets hot, and it means they can suffocate opponents and close things out. Stephon Castle will have the job of handling Keyonte George, who’s enjoying a huge season overall.
INJURY REPORT : Devin Vassell (OUT) – Luke Kornet (questionable) – Jeremy Sochan (questionable)
NBA Prediction Utah Jazz vs San Antonio Spurs
Spurs win by 11 points or more
San Antonio need a confidence booster against a weaker opponent. The quickest way is to build a lead early and avoid getting sucked into a shootout. The Jazz will try to push the pace and hunt transition buckets, and while the Spurs can survive that tempo, they’d be inviting a potential hot spell. Still, without Lauri Markkanen, Utah pulling off a second big scalp looks unlikely. Mitch Johnson’s men should take this one fairly comfortably.

A quick word about our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We give an opinion, a snapshot view. We don’t offer guarantees. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal — and the whole script changes.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it rarely is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Bet sensibly. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And crucially: don’t chase losses — it almost never ends well.
- Betting should be a hobby, not a job or income source. If it’s taking over your life, causing stress or pressure, take a break. If needed, talk to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and won’t vanish, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Essential reminder: betting is prohibited for minors and must follow your local laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
