Toulouse – Marseille: Time for revenge at the Stadium
No rest for these two. Just days after that electric meeting in the French Cup quarter-finals, Toulouse and Marseille meet again this Saturday at the Stadium in a top-flight clash. Toulouse (11th) slipped up at Rennes last weekend (1-0). Marseille (4th) come off a wildly dramatic win over Lyon (3-2).
Toulouse looking to ride the momentum
That huge midweek upset put smiles back across the city. Knocking Marseille out on penalties in the Cup does something to the head. Carles Martinez will hope that buzz sparks a league revival. Right now in the French top flight their engine has stalled: five matches without a win.
Still, Toulouse have been solid at home — four consecutive home matches unbeaten across all competitions, and a back line that has only conceded twice. The real headache is up front. The side that was finding the net easily at the end of 2025 are in an attack drought, scoring one or fewer goals in their last five league games. And when they face the current top four, it’s brutal: zero points and nine goals conceded in two games against PSG and Lens.
Marseille must get over the stumble
The French Cup shock is behind them, but Marseille can’t afford to dwell. The single objective until the end of the season: secure that Champions League spot. Last week they rescued a result in spectacular fashion against Lyon, nicking the winner in the final ten minutes after yet another awful start.
That’s the big Marseille problem right now: bad starts. In three of their last four matches they’ve conceded very early (before the 10th minute against Brest and Lyon). Habib Beye also has a little away curse to break — he’s still chasing his first league win on the road since taking over (two goalless away games so far). Luckily for Marseille, the Stadium has felt like a second home: they’re unbeaten there in eight matches (3-1 win last year).
Likely line-ups
Toulouse : Restes ; Sidibe, Cresswell, McKenzie ; Kamanzi, Vossah, Casseres, Methalie ; Russell-Rowe, Gboho ; Emerson
Marseille : Rulli ; Weah, Aguerd, Pavard, Medina ; Nwaneri, Nadir ; Greenwood, Traore, Paixao ; Aubameyang
Football Prediction Toulouse vs Marseille
Toulouse to win
Marseille’s legs will likely be heavy, and their heads even heavier after that cruel cup exit earlier in the week.
Toulouse, by contrast, desperately need a league win to stop sliding down the table. Riding the high of their qualification and fully aware of Marseille’s defensive lapses at the start of matches, the hosts have a golden chance in front of their fans. We see the home side edging it by a narrow margin.

First, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We share an opinion, a snapshot of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a goal from nowhere… and the whole script changes.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it isn’t. Yes, that means you can lose. It’s inevitable sooner or later.
- The smart move is to stay sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And whatever you do, don’t chase losses — it rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay a game, not a job or a source of income. If it’s taking over your life, making you angry or stressed, take a break. If necessary, talk to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re there for.
- At the end of the day, the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Essential reminder: betting is forbidden for minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral out of control (money loss, family strain, addiction). Need help? Players Info Service: 09 74 75 13 13 (non-premium call) https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment from us
Our predictions are not a contract. They carry no legal weight. In short: you can’t rely on them to make a claim if a bet fails.
Information can change
A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. But between then and kick-off, a team sheet can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn… and the analysis can quickly be out of date. We can’t be held responsible for that.
Your role
Before you place a bet, simply check that gambling is legal where you are. If it isn’t, that’s your responsibility, not ours.
Responsible gambling above all
