Tottenham – Crystal Palace: a London derby on a knife-edge
This Thursday night the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosts a make-or-break Premier League clash. Both sides urgently need a response. Spurs are stuck in a deep slide — ten league games without a win. Palace arrive looking to shrug off a 2-1 defeat at Manchester United. These squads once chased European spots; now they’re staring at the wrong end of the table.
Crisis in north London
Tension is seeping out of Tottenham. Igor Tudor didn’t hide his fury after the defeat to Fulham, blasting the ref and pointing to an unpunished foul on Radu Dragusin while laying bare his squad’s holes. The results back the mood. Four straight defeats make Spurs the worst-run club in the division right now — an ugly streak matched only by a low point back in 1994. They’re clinging on only because rivals are also slipping; Tottenham sit a fragile four points above the drop. Ironically, their last league win was the earlier meeting with these opponents.
Palace held back by indiscipline
Palace’s picture is a bit different. Oliver Glasner’s future looks shaky — an exit at season’s end feels likely. After a miserable winter they’ve shown signs of life: three wins in their last six across all competitions. But Old Trafford left scars. Maxence Lacroix was sent off after scoring early, a moment that turned the match on its head. His suspension is a real blow to Palace’s back line, even if they usually dig in hard in away London derbies.
Probable line-ups
Tottenham Hotspur : Vicario ; Danso, Van de Ven, Dragusin ; Porro, Sarr, Palhinha, Gray ; Simons ; Tel, Richarlison
Crystal Palace : Henderson ; Canvot, Richards, Riad ; Munoz, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell ; Sarr, Johnson ; Strand Larsen
Football Tip Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace
Tottenham Hotspur to win
Backing Tottenham to win in the league has been a risky call this year. Still, the pieces are there for a home wake-up.
Lacroix’s suspension seriously weakens Palace’s defense. Richarlison and Tel have the pace and directness to punish the gaps.
Tottenham have a golden chance to snap their awful streak. The absolute need for points should be enough to swing the game.

First up, a word on our tips
- What we post on Mathodds are analyses — opinions, nothing more. We give a reading of the moment, not a promise. Sport stays what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the whole script changes.
- Let’s be blunt: no bet is risk-free. Even when something looks “obvious”, it rarely is. Yes, that means you can lose. It will happen sooner or later.
- Play smart. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need for everyday life. And don’t chase losses — it never ends well.
- Betting should stay a pastime, not a job or a revenue stream. If it’s taking over your life, making you anxious or stressed, step away. And if you need it, talk to a specialist service. That’s what they’re for.
- At the end of the day, you’re responsible. Reading our content means accepting the risk still exists, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Essential reminder: betting is forbidden for minors and you must follow your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need help? Gamblers Help: 09 74 75 13 13 (non-premium call) https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No liability from us
Our tips aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain terms: you can’t hold us responsible if a bet fails.
Information can change
A tip is based on what we know when we write it. Between then and kick-off a lineup can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn… and the analysis can go out of date. We can’t be held responsible for that.
