Toronto Raptors: repeat yesterday’s performance 
The Raptors come in with momentum — four wins in their last five. Last night’s 116-115 overtime win over Philly proved this group’s mental toughness. They can grind out tight games even with a shrunken roster.
The combined absences of Barrett, Ingram and Poeltl clearly limit defensive and interior options. Given that, don’t expect the Raptors to try and slow things down. They’ll lean on a high volume of shots and keep the pace up, even if it opens up defensive gaps.

Philadelphia 76ers: Maxey calling the shots 
In Philly there’s doubt over Joel Embiid and Paul George, both dealing with niggles. If they’re out, the Sixers will rely almost entirely on Tyrese Maxey to run the offense. The young guard already showed the way in game one, finishing with 38 points, grabbing initiative and carrying long stretches of the attack. Around him is a young, energetic roster that can handle a high pace but still looks patchy in execution.
On the road, Philly can still score — over 117 points per game this season. If Toronto can’t control the tempo, the Sixers have enough offensive talent to trade blows and turn this into an offensive shootout.

Philadelphia to win
Both teams are road-manned and stuck in a grind of games that doesn’t help defensive intensity. The Raptors have shown they can survive on pace and shot volume, while Philly will lean heavily on Maxey to push the tempo. Philly will want revenge in Canada — and they’ll be keen not to drop ground in the Eastern standings at the same time.
