Their last outing was a hard-fought 3-2 win over Calgary, after a short slip against Los Angeles (3-2). What defines them right now is grit: they can suffer through games and come away with wins. Six of their last seven victories were by a single goal and four were decided in overtime. On the road the unit’s humming, averaging about 2.8 goals over their last five away games.

New York Islanders to score over 2.5 goals
The Islanders arrive in Ontario full of belief and carrying solid scoring form on the road (roughly 2.8 goals recently). They also have a psychological edge after beating Toronto in the last meeting, 4-3 in overtime.
But the real reason for this pick is Toronto’s defensive mess at home. Brace yourself: in their last five home games the Maple Leafs have conceded an eye-watering 4.8 goals per game on average. They give up huge amounts of space and their goalies are left exposed.
