Seattle Kraken – Nashville Predators: Playoff scrap at Climate Pledge Arena
Climate Pledge Arena hosts a must-win clash in the playoff race. A home win would lock the Kraken into the West’s top eight. A Nashville victory drags the Predators right back into the hunt. Recent goalie instability will shape the game plan. The points on offer are massive.
Kraken solid at home
Lane Lambert’s group has hit turbulence since the break. A second straight slide darkens the ledger. March brought losses to teams outside the top eight: St. Louis (2-3) and Ottawa (4-7). The Kraken still occupy eighth in the West, though San Jose sits on a better points percentage.
Home ice, however, brings some calm. Five wins in their last seven home games. The Kraken have scored at least two goals in 16 straight matches at Climate Pledge Arena. The defense steadies things, allowing just 2.72 goals per game. Only three Western teams defend better at home.
The injury list is clearing. Ryan Lindgren and Frederick Gaudreau are preparing to return. Jaden Schwartz will be sidelined for at least three weeks. New acquisition Bobby McMann is set to make his Kraken debut.
Nashville falters on the road
Andrew Brunette’s side have lost four of their last five. The recent 2-3 defeat to Buffalo underlines the slide. The defense has given up at least three goals in each of the last four games. They’re 11th in the West, a snapshot of that inconsistency. The gap to the playoff spots, though, is only three points — so this head-to-head is a prime chance to close it.
Their road form has collapsed. Nine losses in 12 trips since New Year’s. They’re on a four-game road losing streak. In those defeats the visiting attack has managed no more than two goals. Their scoring average dips to 2.80 goals per game.
Defender Adam Wilsby remains out for another week. Ryan O’Reilly has returned from a minor injury and extended his point streak to three games.
NHL Pick Seattle Kraken vs Nashville Predators
Under 5.5 goals (OT included)
The head-to-head history at Climate Pledge Arena calls for caution. These meetings have been tight. Six of the last seven Kraken–Predators games at this rink stayed under six combined goals.
Goalie jitters haven’t broken that pattern. Nashville’s last seven road games all finished with fewer than seven goals, the visitors’ attack struggling to impose itself. With so much on the line both teams will favor structure and avoid reckless plays. A low-scoring outcome looks the likeliest scenario.

First, a word on our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We give an opinion — a snapshot of the moment — not a guarantee. Sport stays unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the whole script flips.
- Let’s be blunt: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing is certain. Yes, you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Be sensible. Bet small, set a bankroll and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — that rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay a pastime, not a job or income source. If it takes over your life, pause. If needed, talk to a specialist. That’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and won’t disappear, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Important reminder: betting is illegal for minors and must follow your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral — financial loss, family tension, addiction. Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No liability
Our picks aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In short: you can’t rely on them to make a claim if a bet loses.
Information changes quickly
A pick is based on what we know when we write it. Lineups change, a player gets injured, conditions shift… and the analysis can quickly become outdated. We can’t be held responsible for that.
Your role
