Sacramento Kings – New York Knicks: NY must win

Kings and Knicks, two teams at opposite ends, meet at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The numbers and recent trends suggest this could be tighter than you expect… or it could be a rout. Simple as that.

Sacramento Kings: why not keep the run going at home?

Forget the ugly 10-30 record and you’d think everything’s rosy in Sacramento. The Kings have put together back-to-back wins only for the second time this season. Two solid results against West heavyweights: the Rockets (111-98) and the Lakers (124-112).

Doug Christie will still be without Domantas Sabonis and Keegan Murray, and now Dennis Schröder has been suspended by the NBA. Against the Knicks they’ll need the same offensive punch they showed versus the Lakers if they want to stay in the game. DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine will again be the scoring leaders with those absences.

New York Knicks: reassure themselves on the road

The Knicks have found their usual form, winning two of their last three. Still, they’re shaky away from Madison Square Garden — just eight wins in 18 road games, one of the worst records among the top teams. For this one New York will again be without Landry Shamet, who’ll miss his 25th game of the season but should be back soon.

The Knicks’ real weapon is their offense — one of the league’s best. At 119.5 points per game they can turn a game into a blowout when they’re hot. With guys like Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, plus strong seasons from Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby, there are plenty of ways to punish the Kings’ leaky defense.

Knicks win by 10 or more

Even on the road the Knicks have a huge edge in talent and firepower. Sure, the Kings are on a positive run, but New York’s operating on another level this season and Sacramento will be missing three key players. The Knicks should win comfortably and grab some road confidence.

First — a word on our picks

  • What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We share an opinion, a snapshot reading, never a guarantee. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a fluke score… and the script changes completely.
  • Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, it’s not. Yes, that means you can lose. Inevitably, at some point, you will.
  • Best policy: be sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase losses — it rarely ends well.
  • A bet should stay a game, not a job or income source. If it’s taking over your life, making you anxious or stressed, take a break. If needed, talk to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re for.
  • Ultimately, you’re responsible. Reading our content means accepting the risk exists and won’t vanish, even with the best analysis.
  • Important reminder: betting is forbidden for minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No commitment from us

Our picks don’t form a contract. They have no legal standing. In short: you can’t rely on them to claim anything if a bet loses.

Information that changes

A pick is based on what we know when we write it. But lineups change (like the Kings’), a player gets hurt, the weather turns… and the analysis can become outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.

Your role

Before betting, just check that gambling is legal where you live. If it’s not, that’s your responsibility, not ours.

Responsible gambling first

We’ll say it again: play in moderation. If you’re struggling to control it, don’t wait to seek help. We can’t be held responsible for compulsive or excessive use of the information on this site.
