Sacramento Kings – Memphis Grizzlies: clash of the cellar-dwellers
Third meeting of the season and it smells like both clubs have already booked their June lottery tickets. The Kings and Grizzlies look more interested in draft picks than wins in 2025-26. Add a hectic trade deadline into the mix and this could feel more like a G League scrimmage than an NBA showdown, with both sides firmly in tank mode.
Sacramento Kings: can they grab a couple at home? 
They haven’t won since January 16 — that 128-115 win over Washington feels like ages ago. Since then Douglas Christie’s men have dropped nine straight, a skid that shoved them to the bottom of the West, leapfrogged by the Pelicans. Soft defense, inefficient offense and a brutal schedule — including a road trip against the East’s heavyweights — have all combined to produce this mess.
They’ll hand De’Andre Hunter his first California appearance after he arrived from Cleveland in the deal for Dennis Schröder and Keon Ellis. Hunter should add a bit of scoring next to DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, who often carry the load, and he could help shore up a defensive unit that’s been leaky.

Memphis Grizzlies: first game without Jaren Jackson Jr 
A chapter closes in Memphis after Jaren Jackson Jr was shipped to Utah. The trade leaves the Grizzlies scrambling. New faces need to arrive and settle in, and that transition could leave Memphis short-handed for this one. Things could get even uglier if Ja Morant moves on the same day.
Still, Tuomas Iisalo has Ty Jerome to lean on — Jerome has impressed in his first two outings with the club. Memphis can pick up a little momentum after beating Minnesota 137-128, but losing Jackson Jr will strip the roster of direction on both ends.
