Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks – Free NBA pick and predictions – February 10, 2026

Phoenix Suns – Dallas Mavericks: desperate for a win

The Suns and Mavericks meet for their second showdown this season. Both teams are slipping, but Phoenix needs a win like a team needs oxygen. Dallas look more focused on next year and the draft lottery; Phoenix still cling to a top-six spot and direct playoff hopes.

Phoenix Suns: must-win

Devin Booker returned last game but it didn’t change the result — Suns fell to the 76ers, 103-109. Before that they lost to shorthanded Warriors, 97-101. Result: Minnesota jumped them in the standings and Phoenix now sit 7th in the West — Play-In territory if the season stopped today.

This one will be decided on defense. The Suns concede just 111.4 points per game and sit among the league’s best at number five in defensive points allowed. The top priority is shutting down Cooper Flagg, who’s been playing out of his mind lately.

Dallas Mavericks: stop the skid

Dallas haven’t won since 22 January, when they beat the Warriors 123-115. Since then they moved Anthony Davis at the deadline and have dropped seven straight. That slide is pushing them away from the Play-In and, if you squint, closer to the conference basement — which, frankly, could be the point if you’re eyeing the 2026 draft class.

Their schedule hasn’t been kind: two heavy defeats to the Spurs (123-135 and 125-138), losses to the Celtics (100-110), Rockets (107-111) and Hornets (121-123). All tough outs. Silver lining: Cooper Flagg. The rookie is on a tear, dropping 30-plus games and showing real growth since the season began.

INJURY REPORT : Klay Thompson (questionable)

Mavericks to win or keep it within 10

Both teams are sliding. Phoenix get the edge tonight — home court and the deeper roster. Dallas, though, have shown they can hang tough even in losses, taking it to several top teams recently. Most likely outcome: Suns take care of business, but not a blowout.

First up, a word on our picks

  • What we put out here are analyses, opinions — not promises. We give a snapshot of the moment, not a guarantee. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, a late injury, a freak shot and everything flips.
  • Let’s be blunt: no bet is risk-free. Even the “obvious” ones blow up. You can and will lose sometimes.
  • Stay sensible. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. Don’t chase losses — that never ends well.
  • Betting should be entertainment, not a job or a revenue stream. If it’s taking over your life, step back. If you need help, speak to a specialist.
  • Ultimately, you’re responsible. Reading our content means you accept the risk still exists, however good the analysis.
  • Essential reminder: betting is for adults only and must comply with your local laws. It can spiral (money loss, family strain, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

Information can change

A pick reflects what we know when we write it. Rosters shift, players get hurt, conditions change — and the analysis can become outdated. We can’t be held responsible for that.

Your role

Before you bet, check that gambling is legal where you live. If it isn’t, that’s on you.
