Nice – Le Havre: a brutal scrap for Ligue 1 survival
This Sunday, the Allianz Riviera is set for a proper relegation dogfight between Nice and Le Havre. No point dressing it up: things are ugly for both clubs as they try to stop themselves going over the edge. Nice are stuck in 15th, while Le Havre are hanging just above them. For both sides, picking up points is as close as it gets to sporting life or death.
Nice in a right mess
Claude Puel’s return to the Nice dugout has, so far, gone badly wrong. Nice just took another grim beating in Strasbourg and now find themselves staring at the red zone. Nice still haven’t won at home in 2026, which has left their fans choking on the same bitter pill since the turn of the year. Nice have one of the worst defences in the league and they need to sort it out, fast.
Their back line has been leaking from everywhere, with 55 goals already shipped this season. Nice aren’t doing the maths now. It’s time to attack. The players will have to empty the tank, start putting the ball in the net and, finally, give their own crowd something to cheer. Another slip at home could drag Nice even closer to disaster.
Le Havre and the drop-zone nightmare
Didier Digard returns to his old stomping ground with Le Havre, but there’ll be nothing warm about the welcome. Le Havre are on a miserable run of six games without a win. The club can feel the relegation trapdoor opening and they badly need four wins just to breathe again. Up front, Le Havre have gone flat, failing to score in four of their last six matches.
Away from home, the misery keeps piling up, with four straight defeats on the road. Faced with Nice’s pressure, Le Havre will probably have to dig in, stay compact and wait for their chance. But they’ve shocked Nice before. The plan here is simple: stay tight, stay alive, and maybe nick it late with one clean hit to keep themselves up. There’s plenty on the line in this trip to the Riviera.
Likely line-ups
Nice : Diouf ; Mendy, Bah, Bard ; Clauss, Louchet, Ndombele, Jansson ; Diop, Cho ; Wahi
Le Havre : Diaw ; Nego, Sangante, Seko, Zouaoui ; Lloris ; Ebonog, Boufal, Gourna-Douath ; Ndiaye, Soumare
Football Prediction Nice vs Le Havre
Nice to win
This one between Nice and Le Havre is mostly a mental battle.
Nice have home advantage and, on paper, the kind of individual quality that can unlock a stubborn game. They’re short on confidence, sure, but this looks like the perfect chance to stop the rot. Le Havre travel badly and don’t have much bite in attack. Expect a tight, tense match, with Nice eventually finding a way through and grabbing three vital points to move a little further away from danger.

Before anything else, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We’re giving an opinion, a read on the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal out of nowhere… and the whole script changes.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it isn’t. And yes, that means you can lose. That’s not a maybe. It happens.
- Best thing is to stay sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase losses. That rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your life, if it winds you up or puts you under pressure, take a break. And if you need to, speak to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re there for.
- In the end, it’s your call. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and won’t ever vanish, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Important reminder: betting is illegal for minors and must follow the law in your country. Gambling can spiral quickly (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment from us
Our predictions are not a contract. They have no legal force. Plain and simple: you can’t use them to demand anything if a bet loses.
Information that changes
A prediction is always based on what we know when it’s written. But after that, a team sheet changes, a player gets injured, the weather turns foul… and the analysis can be out of date in a flash. We can’t be held responsible for that.
Your job
Before you bet, make sure wagering is legal where you are. If it isn’t, that’s on you, not us.
