Victor Wembanyama didn’t hang about reminding everyone why he’s one of the league’s most dominant players. Back after missing a game, the Frenchman put together a full-on performance to steer the San Antonio Spurs to a convincing 115-102 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
With 32 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 blocks, Wembanyama once again owned the floor and reinforced his team’s hot streak.

Wembanyama Takes Control Immediately
From the first minutes the big man set the tone. By halftime he already had 18 points and 8 boards, while making game-changing defensive plays.
It boiled down to one wild sequence in the second quarter. He missed an alley-oop, smashed the rim on a dunk attempt, then grabbed the rebound and flushed it on the next play. Brutal and beautiful.
He finished 13-of-24 from the floor, including 5 triples.

Spurs Prove They’re a Western Force
This win lengthens an impressive run and cements San Antonio’s place near the top of the West.
The Spurs have won 17 of their last 19 and now sit at 49-18.
They’re solidly second in the West, holding a comfy gap on Houston and only a few games behind leaders Oklahoma City.
Hornets Hung On But Never Took Over
Charlotte tried to stay close, with Miles Bridges scoring 22 and Kon Knueppel adding 20.
LaMelo Ball chipped in 17, hitting a deep one early that gave the Hornets their only lead of the game.
That edge lasted seconds. San Antonio wrestled control back quickly and never trailed after that.
His Return Changed Everything for the Spurs
San Antonio’s only loss in their last six came against Denver, a game Wembanyama missed with a sore calf.
His comeback flipped the script instantly.
With him playing at this level, the Spurs look scarier than ever in the Western Conference.
Next up for San Antonio: a trip to face the Clippers.
If he keeps this form, the Spurs can aim even higher.
