The scoreboard said it all
Some nights everything clicks. Other nights nothing holds together.
Sunday at Madison Square Garden the Knicks simply rolled. 145-113. A heavy, no‑doubt score that tells you the gap in one line.
Sixth straight win for New York. Sixteenth straight loss for Washington.
Opposite trajectories. No gray area.

Towns imposes, Brunson runs the show
Karl‑Anthony Towns imposed himself: 26 points, 16 rebounds. No one could handle him inside.
Another monster performance from Karl-Anthony Towns vs. Washington tonight.
25 Minutes.
26 Points.
16 Rebounds.
3 Assists.

As a creator, Jalen Brunson controlled the tempo: 23 points, steady pace, tidy reads. Not flashy, but everything right.
Around him the team clicked.
Josh Hart punished from deep. Mikal Bridges ran the offense. Mitchell Robinson cleaned the paint with a quick double‑double off the bench.
Everyone chipped in. It showed.
Second half: steamroller mode
The game was already tilted at the half (68-52).
But the second half turned into a show.
77 second‑half points. Scorching shooting — about 62%. Shots fell from everywhere, quick sequences, Washington’s defense left gasping.
Entering the fourth the lead hit +30. The suspense was dead.
Almost brazen efficiency
When the numbers speak, there’s not much left to add.
58.5% from the field. 53% from three. 18 of 19 from the line.
Clean. Clinical. Dominant.
On nights like this basketball gets simple. Too simple for the opponent.
Washington keeps sinking
For the Wizards it’s hard to find anything positive.
Jaden Hardy (25 points, 7 threes) and Anthony Gill (18 points) tried to keep some pace. But the collective gap was too wide.
Sixteen straight losses. The streak keeps growing, with no sign of a fight.
Even injuries and circumstances don’t explain it all. The problem runs deeper.
New York aiming higher
Twelve straight wins against Washington. Historic dominance in this matchup.
But beyond the opponent, it’s the Knicks’ current form that stands out.
This team plays fast, plays smart, and above all plays together. When the shot falls, they’re very hard to stop.
A run that’s starting to matter
At this stage of the season, runs matter.
New York are confident, clicking, and starting to send a clear message to the East.
Maybe it was only Washington across. But the way they did it doesn’t lie.
