DeMar DeRozan put on a show in Sacramento. The Kings wing piled up 41 points and 11 assists, carrying his team to a hard-fought 116-111 over the Jazz in a game that stayed tight until the final minutes.
A boss performance from the veteran — still racking up points in a season that’s gone sideways for the franchise.
DeRozan carries Sacramento
Against a stubborn Jazz, DeRozan grabbed control from the jump. The former All-Star went 11-of-21 from the floor and calmly buried key free throws down the stretch.

It was his first 40-point outing since February 2025.
Last week he even passed Tim Duncan to move into 18th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Achiuwa and Hayes step up
Around him the Kings found help.
Precious Achiuwa posted a solid double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Killian Hayes — just signed to a two-year extension — chipped in 16 points and 8 assists.
Nique Clifford and Daeqwon Plowden added 10 apiece, giving Sacramento support when it mattered.
Utah mounted a late charge
The Jazz never fully folded.
Cody Williams lit it up for 34 points, proving why he was the No. 10 pick in 2024. Brice Sensabaugh added 22 and Isaiah Collier 21.
Late on, Utah closed to 110-107 after back-to-back threes from Sensabaugh and Harkless.
But DeRozan slammed the door with clutch free throws, including a crucial make with 14,9 seconds left.
A win in a messy season
Both clubs are slogging through a rough campaign and sit near the bottom of the Western Conference.
Still, Sacramento is showing flashes. The Kings have won four of five, despite running a thin roster.
Utah dressed just nine players, and Sacramento only eight.
In that context, DeRozan’s night made the difference.
Even in a transition year, the Kings still have their veteran to put on a show.
