Napoli – Torino: Napoli clings to a top-four place
This Friday night, the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium throws open its gates for a match with very different stakes. The defending champs are scrapping to hold onto a Champions League spot while Torino, hovering over the drop, are fighting for survival.
Napoli can’t afford any more slip-ups
It’s official: the Scudetto is out of reach. Fourteen points behind an untouchable Inter, Antonio Conte’s side have downgraded their targets. After early exits from the Champions League and Coppa Italia, the season boils down to one job — secure a top-four finish.
Last weekend they had to grind one out after the Atalanta loss. Against Hellas Verona it took a last-gasp cameo from Romelu Lukaku (finally back from injury) to nick a narrow 2-1 win. Still, Conte’s got every right to worry. The defense is leaking — nine games without a clean sheet in all competitions. With Roma breathing down their necks just two points back (and Juve, Como and Atalanta lurking), the pressure is huge. At least the Maradona remains a fortress: unbeaten at home in Serie A this season, and a painfully one-sided record against Toro — just one defeat in their last 17 home meetings.
Torino hunting a historic double
Torino are playing for their lives. The wake-up call worked last week: Roberto D’Aversa’s debut was ideal — a 2-0 win over Lazio thanks to Giovanni Simeone and Duván Zapata.
A bit of oxygen in a toxic atmosphere. Between fan boycotts and protests aimed at owner Urbano Cairo, Torino have been playing in near-empty stands at home. A long trip down south might actually feel like an escape from the noise. Sitting six points clear of the drop, they have a genuine chance. They already won the first meeting 1-0, and the players dream of doing the double over Napoli — something Torino haven’t pulled off since 2009.
Probable lineups
Napoli : Milinkovic-Savic ; Beukema, Buongiorno, Jesus ; Politano, Lobotka, Elmas, Spinazzola ; Vergara, Alisson ; Hojlund
Torino : Paleari ; Coco, Ismajli, Ebosse ; Lazaro, Vlasic, Prati, Casadei, Obrador ; Simeone, Zapata
Football Tip Napoli vs Torino
NAPOLI TO WIN
Injuries and constant tactical tinkering have left Napoli looking vulnerable lately. Don’t expect a stroll for Conte’s men.
That said, Torino showed guts last weekend. But stealing points at the Maradona is a tall order. The raw quality gap should tell eventually — the home side ought to grind out the three points, ugly or not.

First, a word about our tips
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We share an opinion, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport stays what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the whole script flips.
- Let’s be blunt: there’s no bet without risk. Even when something looks “obvious”, nothing really is. And yes, that means you can lose. It will happen sooner or later.
- Be sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — it never ends well.
- Betting should stay a hobby, not a job or income source. If it’s taking over your life, making you anxious or stressed, stop. Talk to a specialist organisation if needed. That’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and it won’t vanish, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must follow your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money losses, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
