Minnesota Timberwolves – Portland Trail Blazers: West clash
The Wolves and the Blazers meet for the second time this season. Their first tilt came in late October when Anthony Edwards buried a clutch mid-range jumper to win it. Portland, on a three-game streak, will be hunting revenge.
Minnesota Timberwolves: push past the Lakers
The Wolves have cooled off a bit — just two wins in their last five. They’ve dropped avoidable games to the Pelicans (115-119) and Grizzlies (128-137), and were comfortably beaten by the Clippers (96-115). Even in recent wins (128-126 over Toronto and 138-116 over Atlanta) the defense hasn’t been anywhere near its best.
Offensively the Anthony Edwards — Julius Randle pairing carries the league’s 5th-ranked attack (119.4 points per game). Role players like Donte DiVincenzo, Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid and Ayo Dosunmu chip in, and Rudy Gobert still anchors a Wolves defense good enough for 12th in the league.
INJURY REPORT: Terrence Shannon Jr. (OUT)
Portland Trail Blazers: going for a fourth straight win
The Blazers are one of the biggest improvers year-on-year, largely thanks to Deni Avdija’s breakout season. Tiago Splitter’s side sit 9th in the West and arrive here on a three-game winning run — two wins over Memphis (135-115 and 122-115) and a big one against Philly (135-118).
Against Minnesota, Portland will try to cut into the Warriors’ cushion in the standings — Golden State, still without Stephen Curry, only hold a three-game gap for the 8th seed. With Avdija leading the charge, Portland boast the 13th-ranked offense (116.1 points per game). Given the Wolves’ recent fragility, expect Portland to put points on the board again.
INJURY REPORT: Kris Murray (OUT) – Shaedon Sharpe (OUT) – Matisse Thybulle (OUT)
NBA Prediction Minnesota Timberwolves vs Portland Trail Blazers
Over 234.5 points
Both teams score. Both teams have their main guys fit. There’s no reason for this to turn into a grind. Edwards will hunt points, Avdija will answer, and the supporting casts are willing partners. Expect an open game and plenty of scoring.

A quick word on our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing guaranteed. We offer an opinion, a snapshot. Sport is messy. A red card, an injury, a freak moment — everything can flip in an instant.
- Let’s be blunt: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even the “obvious” ones go wrong. You will lose sometimes. That’s part of it.
- Play smart. Bet small, set a budget, stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — that never ends well.
- Betting should be a pastime, not a job. If it’s taking over your life, step away. Talk to a specialist if you need to. That’s what they’re for.
- At the end of the day the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk is real and it won’t vanish, even with the best analysis.
- Essential reminder: betting is banned for minors and must follow your local laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family trouble, addiction). Need help? Players Info Service: 09 74 75 13 13 (non-premium call) https://www.gambleaware.org/.
