Mbappé vs PSG : the verdict slams shut, Paris condemned

The legal saga finally reached its finale. And it’s loud. On Tuesday 16 December, the Paris labour tribunal ruled on the dispute between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain. Clear verdict, no appeal: PSG must pay more than €60 million to its former No.7. Heavy with meaning. Not just about money.

A breakup that ends in court

The story between Mbappé and PSG ended on a minefield. In summer 2024, after seven seasons, records, trophies and as much tension, the two parted ways. But behind the staged smiles, the accounts weren’t settled. Unpaid wages, suspended bonuses, promises broken.

The punishment doesn’t stop at the cheque. The labour tribunal also ordered the full judgment to be published for one month on PSG’s official homepage. A rare, almost punitive move that exposes the club to everyone. Fans, partners, observers: you can’t avoid it.

A bitter epilogue to an extraordinary story

Seven years after his flashy arrival, the story between Kylian Mbappé and PSG ends far from the pitch, in a courtroom. No celebration. No trophy. Just a verdict. Cold and relentless.

PSG turn a page, but it’s dog-eared. Mbappé moves on. And even without a Paris shirt, he keeps winning. This time, in court.
