Mallorca – Sevilla: two teams under pressure
This isn’t a title clash. Not a glamour tie. It’s the kind of match that suddenly doubles in importance when the season flips into its second half. Monday night at Son Moix, Mallorca host a shaky Sevilla — two sides stuck in the mid-table, both eyeing the relegation scrap. 13th versus 18th, just three points between them. In short, nobody’s cruising. And nobody can afford to miss this one.
Mallorca: solid at home, fragile everywhere else
Mallorca’s season has been a tightrope act. Capable of flashes, rarely consistent. They’re fifth from bottom with 21 points from 21 matches — a far cry from last year when they were flirting with Europe.
The recent trend is worrying. Three defeats in four games, including a blunt 3-0 loss at Atlético — a rude reality check. Still, Jagoba Arrasate’s side have Son Moix. Only two home defeats this season, 16 points taken there, and that breathless 3-2 win over Athletic Bilbao to give them some air. So hosting Sevilla matters. Especially after Mallorca left them with a 3-1 headache at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán earlier this season — that one still stings.
Sevilla: a tired giant looking for a second wind
On the Andalusian side it’s been patchy. One good outing, three poor ones. 13th with 24 points, Sevilla are uncomfortably close to the drop — inconceivable for a club of this size, yet all too real.
Last week’s 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao ended a long drought that began before Christmas. Relief, yes — not a definitive turning point. Matías Almeyda knows his team can score — 28 goals — but they leak too many. 33 conceded makes them one of the softest defenses in LaLiga. Every match feels like Russian roulette.
And away from the Sánchez-Pizjuán, it’s messy. Sevilla have collected only 11 points from ten trips. More tellingly, they haven’t won at Mallorca since October 2022 — a stat that starts to bite when the numbers stack up.

Football Prediction Mallorca vs Sevilla
Draw or Mallorca
Sevilla arrive with a touch more momentum. Mallorca, though, become a different animal at home. Hard to picture either side risking it all in this tense spot. It’ll be trench warfare — tight, ugly, midfield scraps. Expect a point apiece: it helps nobody, but it doesn’t ruin anyone either.

First, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We offer an opinion, a snapshot reading — never a guarantee. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the whole script flips.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it rarely is. Yes, you can lose. You will, at some point.
- Best approach: be sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And whatever you do, don’t chase losses — it almost never ends well.
- Betting should stay a game, not a job or income stream. If it’s taking over, making you anxious or stressed, step away. If needed, talk to a specialist organisation — that’s what they’re for.
- In the end, responsibility sits with you. Reading our content means accepting the risk exists and won’t disappear, even with the best analysis out there.
- Essential reminder: betting is prohibited for minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (loss of money, family tensions, addiction). Need help? Player Support: 09 74 75 13 13 (non-premium rate) https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment from us
Our predictions are not a contract. They carry no legal weight. Plain and simple: you can’t rely on them to make a legal claim if a bet loses.
Info can change
A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. In the meantime a lineup changes, a player gets injured, the weather turns… and the analysis can become outdated. We can’t be held responsible for that.
