Los Angeles Lakers vs San Antonio Spurs – Free NBA Pick and Predictions – February 10, 2026

Los Angeles Lakers – San Antonio Spurs: a possible playoff preview?

The Lakers and Spurs, 5th and 2nd in the Western Conference respectively, meet in California for a tasty evening. Both teams have one eye on the playoffs — this could be a rehearsal before the main event hits in mid-April.

Los Angeles Lakers: back-to-back from hell

Right after hosting the Thunder — a 110-119 loss — the Lakers jump straight into another tough test: Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs. This is the fourth of eight straight home games for L.A., and it’s no walk in the park given how hot the Texans are. JJ Redick’s side will still be hunting a second win in four meetings with San Antonio this season.

Having missed the last two games, Luka Doncic might return tonight to face the Spurs. His availability will change the math: without him the Lakers’ chances drop off sharply. L.A. still has LeBron James and a mostly healthy roster, but Luka is the kind of variable that pushes a team into title-talk territory.

San Antonio Spurs: going for a fifth straight

The Spurs have found their groove lately, keeping them in the hunt for a possible top spot in the West. On this four-game winning streak, Mitch Johnson’s team has handled the Mavericks twice (138-125 and 135-123), the Thunder (116-106) and the Magic (112-103). With the tiebreaker over OKC in the bag, the Texas franchise still has every chance to close the gap on its biggest rivals.

Against the Lakers, Stephon Castle’s teammates play the first game of a back-to-back, finishing the set the next night against the Warriors, who will be without Stephen Curry. Collectively, the Spurs boast the 7th-best defense and the 7th-best offense in the league, driven by Victor Wembanyama on both ends of the floor.

NBA Pick Los Angeles Lakers vs San Antonio Spurs

Spurs to score over 117.5 points

The Lakers don’t have a lockdown defense — far from it — surrendering roughly 116 points per game. Deandre Ayton has a nasty habit of going quiet against top-tier centers, and he’ll likely be matched up on Victor Wembanyama tonight. San Antonio is regaining the early-season spark after a blip and has topped 130 points in each of its last two games; those opponents’ defenses weren’t great, sure, but neither are the Lakers’.

First, a word on our picks

  • What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We give an opinion, a snapshot of the moment — not a promise. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak play and the whole script flips.
  • Let’s be blunt: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, it rarely is. Yes, you can lose. You will lose, at some point.
  • Be sensible. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need for living expenses. And don’t chase losses — it almost never ends well.
  • Betting should be a hobby, not a job or a revenue stream. If it’s taking over your life, making you anxious or stressed, step away and get help. Reach out to a specialist if you need to — that’s why they exist.
  • Ultimately, responsibility sits with you. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and it won’t vanish, not even with the sharpest analysis.
  • Essential reminder: betting is banned for minors and must follow the laws where you live. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family strain, addiction). Need help? Players Info Service: 09 74 75 13 13 (standard-rate) https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No guarantees from us

Our picks are not a contract. They carry no legal weight. In short: you can’t rely on them to claim anything if a bet loses.

Info can change

A pick is based on what we know when we write. Lineups change, a key player gets hurt, weather shifts… and the analysis can go out of date fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.

Your role

Before you bet, check that gambling is legal where you are. If it isn’t, that’s on you, not us.
