Bollaert-Delelis hosts one of the standouts of this 13th round of Ligue 1. Lens, still charging into a very ambitious start, welcome Strasbourg, three points behind and hunting consistency. Both sides come in off convincing wins last weekend: a dazzling 4-1 for Lens against Monaco and a solid 2-0 for Strasbourg at Lille.

Dropped for a spell at Lyon, Pierre Sage has shown for weeks he’s got ideas and depth. His Lens are ridiculously consistent: tough, intense, reliable. They arrive at round 13 sitting snug in the top 3, only three points off top spot.

The Artois club have won five of their last six league games, often in style. That 4-1 rout of Monaco underlined the charge. November so far? Near perfect: two games, two wins, 7 goals for and just 1 conceded.

A win on Saturday would equal their best winning run this Ligue 1 season and lift them to 28 points — a huge jump from last year, when they had eight fewer at this stage.

At Bollaert the form is even scarier: five straight home wins and a shot at six on the bounce. That would recall their brilliant run in 2023. Against Strasbourg, the Artésiens have won two of the last three home meetings, including a solid 3-1 in February 2024.

Strasbourg started the month badly with a heavy 4-1 loss at Rennes, but they responded straight away, stringing together two wins across competitions. The attack is there. The desire too. The problem is consistency.

The split between their European self and their Ligue 1 self is stark: 100% wins away in Europe, zero wins in their last three league away trips. And the defensive numbers show why they’re shaky off the Meinau: 14 of their 16 Ligue 1 goals conceded came on the road.

Worse: they regularly crumble late. Nine goals conceded in the second half away, five after the 75th minute and two in added time. That lack of control costs points, repeatedly.

Still, RCSA are dangerous when they hit the target more than once: five straight matches without defeat in that case, four wins among them. Plus, Strasbourg took points from their last two visits to Bollaert, including a 2-0 win there last season that snapped a poor run.

What to take away

  • Lens have five consecutive home wins in Ligue 1.
  • The Sang et Or have won five of their last six league games.
  • Strasbourg have conceded 14 of their 16 goals away this season.
  • RCSA took points in their last two trips to Bollaert, including a 2-0 win in 2023/24.

Football Prediction Lens vs Strasbourg

Both teams to score

Lens are humming, driven by a well-oiled unit and relentless home intensity. Strasbourg, despite the weak spots, have proper attacking weapons and are often dangerous when they find the net. In that light, both teams scoring looks very likely, even if the edge in play and form clearly belongs to Lens.

First, a word on our predictions

  • What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing else. We give an opinion, a snapshot reading, not a guarantee. Sport stays what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the script flips.
  • Let’s be clear: there’s no risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, it isn’t. Yes, that means you can lose. It will happen at some point.
  • Best advice: stay reasonable. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And for the love of common sense: don’t chase losses. It rarely ends well.
  • Betting should stay a game, not a job or an income source. If it’s taking over your life, making you tense or angry, step back. And if needed, talk to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re for.
  • At the end of the day, responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and won’t disappear, even with the best analysis in the world.
  • Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No commitment on our part

Our predictions aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In short: you can’t use them to claim anything if a bet fails.

Info can change

A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. But between then and kick-off a lineup (Lens included) can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn… and the analysis becomes outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.

Your role
